Adrift, unforeseen perils.

Once again, while pleasantly sailing through the pages of the Bozone looking for some good entertainment and happenings available during the New Year celebration, my vessel of inquiry hit the bilious green calm of the EcoZone.  This stagnant body of words with nary a ripple of intelligence held me in its mire of ignorance and hypocrisy.  On the first page of this morass of stupidity a reader's eye is caught by the mirage of planet Earth in flames.  This alarmist exaggeration is but one of the many farcical things that plays tricks on weak minds unwittingly trapped in these "institution green" tinted pages.  An unfortunate but all too real aspect of this is, below the silt laden surface swims the insidious creatures of indoctrination, their razor sharp teeth of fear tactics bared to prey upon the innocent minds of youth.

Underneath the words, 'Maia, Maia, what we can do for Gaia, Gaia' these creatures circle in and around our schools with their appropriately named "scheme" in hopes of spreading the environmental false hoods of the oil stock owning, "I invented the Internet", lives in a mansion, jet setter Al Gore.  AKA, "the Pope of Green Rich Pillage", wherein lavish lifestyles are reserved for the aristocracy afforded by their "burden" of wealth while the masses (upper middle income and below) standard of living will righteously be lowered.  We shall however, admire the courage of the likes of Al Gore to bear the incredible burden that wealth brings while having the strength to lead us to save the world.

Found floating in these murky waters of the EcoZone, like a miniscule fragment of driftwood, is the truth that Global Warming is about control as evidenced by the words, "the simple act of flicking off a switch connects me to every living thing on the planet."  Of course Al can light up his house like a gargantuan Christmas tree, for again, he labors under the burden of wealth.

I encourage parents whose minds have not been lost in this ubiquitous calm to save your children form these terrible jaws of radical indoctrination.  By Playing to youth's perceived invulnerability's and seemingly ageless state, the false teachings that the world is their salvation, their Goddess, and yet they themselves can control the world, this Goddess, is tantamount to negligence.  The use of outrageous fear tactics which haunt youth in their sleep is nearly criminal as is the targeting with "tolerant" hate, those whom disagree with the premise of Global Warming.

Rescued by the cool breeze of laughter afforded by the photo of a dog under an ice pack, I slowly drift on.  I pass by the article on Homestake Lodge.  I propel myself with more laughter.  A sustainable lodge which resides an hour and a half from Bozeman.  Like a false beacon of environmental hope, the lodge hearkens all those interested from miles and miles around who will come in their fossil fuel burning chariots to enjoy the Nordic trails blazed through sacrificial trees, or to partake in the Powder Hound Winter Triathlon on January 31st.  They do so only to blast through the tail pipes of hypocrisy, the sustainable efforts of the Axelson's.

Yes, they will turn a key on a cold engine and they are connected to every-living-thing-on-the-planet.

Peace

LD - what happen to you along the way? You seem a little bitter.
RE: Gosh byLiberal Doses7 months ago (4 votes) (report abuse)
Danie,

Don't make this about me again danie.

Point out to me how logical it is to be concerned about sustainability of a lodge when it serves to encourage activities which contribute greatly to CO2 emissions. Tackle that instead.

Explain to me how a picture of the Earth in flames is any less of an exaggeration than my post. That would be encouraging.

Defend the use of carbon credits. Define for me how carbon credits do not create a further separation between the haves and the have nots. Tell me how Democrats, who claim to champion the poor, can support a concept that limit the lifestyles of hard working class people, but by comparison never affect the rich. That would be fantastic!

Just one would make me smile. A smiling person is hardly a bitter one. Not that bitter is necessarily what I am. Outraged maybe, sick of it yes. Bitter isn't always bad either. I have enjoyed many an ale with such qualities.

Peace

cwrite,

Yes I apologize for the length. Having a 72 wmp skill lends to the verbosity. A "virtual" running at the mouth. Digital diarrhea! I am envious of your ability to distill your thoughts into a few short phrases. It is a unique art form you have created. To help with your effort not to think, avoid this forum and have a couple of boiler makers on New Years. Wishing you a safe and happy new years! You too danie.

Thanks, LD. Happy New Year to you as well.
Adrift, concise. bysouthward7 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Your argument is based on the assumption that visitors to the Homestake lodge would not be vacationing otherwise. If the lodge's practices entice folks planning a vacation to make the choice of less-wasteful accommodations, or better yet stay closer to home because a local/regional option matches their needs/values then there will be a net savings on the pollution generated by their travels.

Not a perfect solution, but a step in the right direction, and certainly not the mindless Kool-Aid party you would have us bicker about.

But congrats on the typing score. Now that you've mastered that skill you can focus on editing.
RE: Adrift, concise. byLiberal Doses7 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse)
Southward,

You have not considered the even more environmentally friendly option of not having a lodge in the first place! I imagine all those environmentally concerned travelers will be monitoring their carbon foot prints and meeting with the Axelson's to calculate the off-set and then provide a monetary contribution to plant carbon scrubbing trees in China. Yeah, right. Lip service, lip service, lip service.

I want to hear your tune when you are forced by the government to monitor everything associated with your CO2 emissions and then pay what you are required along with increased taxes you are going to pay for your "free health care" or the fines you will pay if you do not have health care.

I needn't care about editing on this forum, I am in like company. Outside of this my editor does quite well for me.

I can write a lot of words really fast, probably faster than you, so I must be smart. Right? Doesn't that mean I am smart? bybozemantalker7 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
A lot of people can type even more words per minute than 72.
It takes a competent writer to be more concise and not spew.

bozemantalker,

Any intelligent person would know that there is not necessarily a correlation between one's intelligence and one's typing speed. Cwrite enjoys writing in columns. ROL enjoys ZZZZZZZ. I enjoy spewing for that brief relief from the nausea that I get from reading the liberally silly liberal posts around here.

By the way hero, what is your carbon foot print? Peace

Yes you are incredible intelligent. Wow. Not sure if anyone on this meager little forum could possibly attain your level of greatness. Maybe one day I will know what it's like to be so amazing.

Thank you for enlightening all of our dull minds with your musings.

Obviously, you.

Unless of course you can answer the questions on my first reply to you.

More of the same for the new year.... byalamator6 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
While I enjoyed the flow of the first paragraph, (nice use of them thar fancy words Lib), I realized this is just another continuation of LD's love-to-hate Al Gore obsession.

My morbid curiousity kept me reading, only to be further disappointed by LD's fascination with himself.

alamator,

You seem to have a love-to-hate LD obsession. It appears that I may expect more of the same for the new year. Unless of course you can answer any of the questions I put forth to danie. Southward gave it a go on one. Come on alamator, you can do it!

I don't hate anyone Lib.

The majority of your posts the last 12 months have been a bit of a disappointment, with most of them being long winded, off-topic diatribes aimed at George Soros, Al Gore, Barack Obama and,(of course), anything remotely leaning to the left.

Which we expect from you...but these past few months seem like you are on the conspiracy-like kick and all of your topics are on the verge of...I don't know...desperation? Kind of a typer's Tourette's..?

While I admire your use of the English language, I miss the LD of old, who was much more about the topic and less about how great LD is.

I would think there are more pressing issues, but this fascination of yours with Al Gore making $$ while trying to save the planet is beyond me.

Former POTUSs and VPs can make lots of $$ only if they're GOP?

Clinton and Gore are making money in the private sector, not from what they legislated.

As far as performing in your dog & pony show by attempting to humor you by answering your inane questions...nah...I'll pass.

Continue to amaze us with your superior knowledge...and typing speed. :0)
Let reason prevail byLiberal Doses6 months ago (0 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
alamator,

Again, it is you who is making this about me. Ignore my delivery then and address the topics.

Ok, so you won't answer the questions but refer to them as inane. Please explain in what manner are they inane? That seems a reasonable question to which a reasonable answer could be provided.

In what manner did I convey how great LD is? I was criticized for being verbose. Which I admitted was a fault of mine but one which I attempted to explain. I honestly feel that due to the fact I type fast it is easy for me to ramble on. That I consider a bit rude, but unfortunately a rather inate characteristic of my being which I struggle to curtail.

We disagree on Al. He is not attempting to save the planet. He is attempting to fufill his part of the total plan to control it. If you disagree with that premise then please explain how they will manage to gain genuine cooperation of all of the other countries needed to accomplish their goal other than use of coercion by means of force. Logic dictates that a clean planet is best for us and that would support cooperation. But logic also dictates that peace is another benefit. Why then is this not successful, and has not been since the so called civilized world has existed?

Pass if you will. That provides me enough to form my opinion of you. However, unlike you I will keep that to myself.
