| As a Christian, this comes as no surprise to me. The book of Revelations lays it all out for me. The citizens of this country are gradually being softened to the idea of one day (I believe it is the near future) accepting a chip in their right hand or forehead. It will be under the guise of security, convenience, etc. and will sound innocuous. It will be anything but. If you read about the verichip, you will find out that the best place for this chip to be inserted is in the right hand or in the forehead. How much clearer could the intent of this chip be than what is said in Revelations: "And (the Antichrist)causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save (except) he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six. Rev. 13:16-18." People, do not accept this evil system. Once you accept the mark of the beast, you cannot undo it. | |

Real ID is an unwieldy attempt at some type of immigration reform pushed by a lot of Republicans. When it rains frogs gimme a call. |

You know, I've read revelations too, and I couldn't find any of that crap. It's a dozen pages all about dragons and other mythical BS. An acid trip gone terribly wrong. What you are referring to are modern interpretations meant as scare tactics to corral the simple minded. Mission accomplished. IMHO one of the principle failings of the human race is that every generation since the first one has allowed themselves to fall prey to this end of the world nonsense. Make no mistake, those who spread this manure know exactly what they are doing, and people buy it hook line and sinker. The one calming thought in the debate of this non-issue is that these many generations of "sky is falling/world is ending" liars have had one thing in common: They were all wrong. BTW the Bible predicts that, too. |

(FOLLOWING ADDED LATER, IN REPLY TO DANIE'S POST BELOW): Yes, it is such a cop-out to be Christian. We all want to be persecuted, hated, spit on, tortured and/or put to death (like Christians in China), locked away in prison, and all the things the bible talks about over and over again that Christians have, or will have to endure. Yes, it's so easy to take the Christian route - and so much harder to mindlessly go along with the rest of the world.

Those of you above who attacked me for my religious views - all well and good, and like I said, it is to be expected, as it is talked about in the bible - "For if the world hate you, remember that it first hated me" (Jesus). But whether or not you're Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, worship green men on Mars, whatever - if you've got a lick of common sense, you should be more than alarmed at this type of legislation. Do you really want to give up even more of your privacy? Would you really go along with being branded (chipped) like cattle, to be tracked like animals in a herd? False churches with a facade of Christianity have sprung up in the past and will continue to spring up as time goes on. This is why Christians are admonished to "be discerning" and to "test the spirits". Add to this the continued deceptions of Satan, twisting and using God's word to try to bring about the downfall and damnation of human souls - but, being a Christian is easy, isn't it - a "cop-out" as danie says? Hmmmmm... There are many sites out there that talk about these bible passages, one I find interesting is www.thercg.org/ews.

It seems as though you take the Bible a little too literally for my taste. There are plenty of good guidelines in the Bible, Koran, Teachings of Buddha etc. but most are what a decent person would do anyway. Besides there are too many inconsistencies in each to follow them to the letter. It is religious paranoid zealots that take things too far and make the world a more difficult place to get along in. /I'm not saying that is what you are, Ab. |

| The bible is quite literal in parts, but also uses analogy. As for all the different belief systems, it is up to each person to choose what they will believe. God did not make robots. As for "religious, paranoid zealots" - each person, each religion has its own definition for these terms. Every group, religious or not, has its "nut jobs". I think one reason people feel comfortable attacking Christians is precisely because the great majority of us will do nothing to retaliate against people who tear us down - except quote scripture and stand fast in our faith. Why don't you attack those whose religion exalts in suicide bombers, killing Americans, running planeloads of Americans into buildings, hacking a few American heads off (by the way, there was a film of this on the internet, being done slowly, I might add - don't know if it's still there, it was so gruesome). Instead, there are excuses and/or silence. Could it be because you are afraid if you say anything, one of these guys might come after you? | ||

| Leave it to Chicken Dena to bring up the Crusades. Yes, these were misguided people who thought they were acting in a Christian way, but were not. It happened a long time ago, and it's over. We know longer wear chain mail and helmets and ride around on horses with swords forcing people into Christianity! The majority of Christians are more like the article in today's paper (Tuesday, July 7, section "The Big Sky" -"Good Samaritans"). Get with it - I am talking about what's going on TODAY - and your post indicates you are still far more comfortable attacking the Christians, whom you know are not a threat, versus REMAINING SILENT regarding those who CONTINUE to use suicide bombers, etc. to threaten, maim and kill Americans and others around the world. WHY SO SILENT about them? | ||

I do not think that I have attacked you. Sorry you feel that way. One reason I brought up the Crusades is because it is similar to what is going on now with Muslims and the modern spread of Islam. Yes it is terrible that they are killing PEOPLE (not even mostly Americans) everyday and forcing religious conversions and suicide bombings and the like. But You can't say that Christianity amassed it's numbers by very different means. just because it happened in the past does not mean that it didn't happen. IMHO, most religious people are "Good Samaritans"........... until you want to believe something different than they do. |

Besides, your rapture plan seems a little selfish as it "leaves behind" billions of perfectly nice, well-meaning folks who unfortunately were born in a country that wasn't predominately Christian....then again maybe it isn't as surprising after all. AB, you've read one too many books from the "Left behind" series. I hate to say it, but we humans, including the Christians, aren't really that special. |

So let's return to what this discussion was intended to be about - the closer and closer move to planting verichips in everyone so that government can track everything they do. Regardless of whether you are right or left, regardless of your religious persuasion, what would you do if told you MUST take the chip in order to be able to buy and sell and conduct business in general? AB is right. This is not, or should not be, primarily a religious discussion. You have to suspect that all the anti-Christian hate comments on here are a thinly disguised attempt to block serious discussion of the issue. Hate is almost always the response of anti-Christians. 'rol' would 'submit' if confronted with a weapon. Do you really think that won't happen? If you were 'told' you 'must' take the chip to buy and sell - "probably not". So I take it you are a survivalist with no need to purchase food, heat, water, or any other essential items? How are these things much different, 'rol' ? I think you are old enuf to know better... | One thing that's been gained out of this post - the clear hatred and diversionary tactics used by the other side to avoid the real topic of discussion. They will continue to do this. Nothing but personal attacks, in my opinion because they are truly unsure and rattled by the idea that we all might someday be implanted with a verichip. The uncertainty in Right of Left's response clearly shows. He really doesn't know what he'd do if confronted with something like this. The reality of it is here - a family in Florida has already had the chip implanted. If you pay attention, we are slowly being softened to the idea. It's in our pets. It's in our cattle. And soon, it will be in us, so that we too can be tracked like animals.

We all have our different beliefs. I think we all question our beliefs, which can result in doubt and a lack of confidence. Sometimes our doubts give rise to uncomfortable emotions such as fear or anger due to a conscious or subconscious threat. We then seek to alleviate these feelings by directing those emotions towards the perceived source of them. Often, this is a person who is simply expressing beliefs different than ours. This practice of attacking someone else is especially disconcerting when it involves a sensitive subject such as one’s religious beliefs. Doubt is a lack of a complete understanding or knowledge of something. Doubt, that portion of us in which a question still remains. Doubt is a natural and universal property, the effects of which plague us all. How uncomfortable that which is in question can be. What creatures it turns us into. I find it interesting that even Jesus, the son of God was not immune. During that moment when he was on the cross there were obviously things even he did not understand or have knowledge of for he cried out, "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?" The irony is that the remedy for us regarding doubt often comes in the form of the very essence of doubt, question. If you find yourself ready to react in anger, pause and ask a question first. Especially of yourself and why you are feeling the way you are. Questioning is esential to understanding and knowledge. Peace |

We're against intrusive government, and this Real ID, Pass Act, "A rose by any other name", whatever euphamism they give it, is about as intrusive as it gets. I know I sound angry at times, have done my share of name-calling, what have you - but underneath all of it, I am truly concerned about this and other issues that have so rapidly come to the forefront, and people who truly know me know that I care deeply about people - enough that I do sometimes become angry with them.

Do a little digging into the Military industrial complex, "less than Lethal Weapons", ELF radio waves, micro wave tech., HAARP, beam weapons, SCALAR WAVES, etc. etc. Most of this technology could be used for the betterment of mankind, the problem, as some see it, is that mankind is a tad to prolific. |

I think in the near future our petty differences will be put aside, out of necessity I fear, but put aside none the less. |

There is a lot of truth in this world that's just too scary for many of us to honestly confront. Name calling and religious bashing are certainly not helpful ways to pursue the truth, however, no matter what the issues being discussed are. All of you anti-Christian folks should really check yourself if you find that you are ignoring large sections of mankind's history and only want to speak of history in convenient little sections. It amazes me that when certain people(in this case Citizenpain) put the truth out there for you to consider in a very calm and rational manner, many of you jump at the chance to bash the heck out of it in some very childish and also some clearly uninformed ways. People that stood strongly by God and spoke His truths to the unknowing used to be called Prophets, and were very well respected(but also very much hated by evil types). These days, much do to the impersonations and lies of "False Prophets", God's straight talking Holy Men(in this case Citizenpain) are regarded by many to be insane religious zealots! There will certainly be a whole lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth to come in our near future if we don't stand firmly behind the God that put us here. If you're most comfortable bashing the Bible as inaccurate, and Christians as goofballs, you may be in a lot of trouble, and it would do you well to research the spiritual walk of C.S. Lewis, who has actually done most of the research and hard work for you. If you're just too arrogant, or lazy to CHECK YOURSELF, well, there may not be much use in me warning you again, but here it is: REPENT OF YOUR WRONGDOING, AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND. SIEZE HOLD AND DON'T LET GO!! P.S. If you're a Christian, then part of your belief is that you live eternally. Better get a good grasp on that, otherwise you might be too afraid to take a bullert instead of a microchip. God Bless Montana! :) |

"repent of wrongdoing"... "The kingdom of heaven is at hand"... Does that also apply to dogs, cats, insects, plants, etc? Of course not! We humans are superior to them, and they don't have souls. SuperJames, I wish you the best when your batteries wear out. |

What Would Jesus Do?

| Many of you have brought me to task on more than one occsion for name calling and other bad behavior. Believe it or not, you have made me think about how I approach things sometimes - and I've had to ask myself, "Would Jesus have talked the way I have at times?" And the answer has had to be NO. Jesus pointed out sin, but I don't recall in the bible where he singled anyone out in front of others and called them a name. If I am wrong about this, please point it out to me. Instead, the more I think about it, I believe Jesus challenged people's thinking. For example, when a man said to Jesus, "People say you are the son of God", Jesus replied, "Who do you say I am?". When people wanted to stone a harlot, he said, "Let him amongst you who is without sin cast the first stone". He didn't single anyone out. He got them to thinking about their own behavior instead of others. This is a lesson in how we should try to be in these forums -and I'll be the first to admit that I need to "practice what I'm preaching". All I can say is I will try. | |

You can search this site, but you won't even find me mentioning religion, I could care less what you or anyone else believes concerning religion. So no I don't proslytize, nor do I criticize when it comes to religion. What I posted here is about possible legislation coming down from the federal gov. I don't think that the government needs to know more about me than my mother did. Maybe you think differently, and thats fine, but criticism for the sake of criticism adds little to the debate. |

| Citizenpain, I'm talking about trying to tone down the name calling and just stick to the issues. I'm talking about myself in particular, for I've done my share, and coming strictly from my perspective as a Christian, it is not very Christian behavior. I don't think Jesus called anyone a "moron". That's name calling. Instead, he said, "My people perish for lack of knowledge". That's telling it like it is, without hurtful name calling. I am trying to work on communicating ideas without the name calling, and just trying to encourage others to do the same. From my standpoint, I am working on it because I am working on trying to be a better Christian and better person all around. Other people may have different motives, and that's fine. The point is to have a civil discussion with civil criticisms. Does this clarify better for you what my personal intentions are? | ||

My last comment was for danie, you just got in ahead of me is all. Can't argue with being a better person, it is a worthy goal, and self criticism can be harshest of all. I don't know about the lack of knowledge, there is plenty of info around, in fact there may be to much to sort through, separating fact from fiction. I think that "a fear of knowledge" may be closer to the truth. I am not talking about religion here, but the state of the world in general, and America in particular; to much coincidence for me. |
