I Predict GCGLJ will Try to Shout Down the Tea Partiers

Tomorrow is the big day for two groups to march downtown.  We will see who is the more "civil" and "supportive" of everyone's right to assembly and free speech.  I would love for the GCGLJ to prove me wrong - in fact I CHALLENGE them to do so - by not shouting down our Tea Party group as we assemble on the steps of the courthouse to hear speakers and cheer them on.  Come on, GCGLJ, let's just see if you can stand by peaceably and quietly, and allow others their time and place to exercise their free speech rights!

Is this a futile attempt to scare the more moderate wing of the Coalition of Green Gay Loggers for Jesus, into staying home? Most every group has a fringe element but the Gay Loggers have historically always been about tolerance and respecting opposing viewpoints.

Oh, I'm so SILLY for worrying about those GCGLJ folks! There wasn't enough of them to make a sound as loud as a mosquito compared to the number of folks who marched in the Bozeman Tea Party! (Notice Art, I yelled at myself - first sentence?).

From what I gather the Gay Loggers would have had to be screaming at the top of their collective lungs to shout down your group. Can we just say it was probably quality and not quantity and leave it at that? Keep in mind that the Tea Partiers have been around a lot longer than the Gay Loggers. They have to start somewhere, just like Ralph Nader, Ross Perot and Brittney Spears did. I also hate to admit it but I think your post about the militant arm of the Gay Loggers shouting down the Tea Partiers probably did keep the moderate Gay Loggers at home. Next time I plan on joining their numbers unless I have something better to do.

I saw a few logs laying on the sidewalk in front of Heebs. (Apologies to Heebs - it was the sidewalk next to Main, not right by your store). Poor things looked "pooped" after their march. Anyway, good for your "movement" (LOL) get it? Sorry - the beagle can't resist puns.

I think this proves my point. That in fact it was mostly only the radical fringe that did show up for the Gay Loggers. The rights for robots might become a real issue that I hope does not divide our group. My own stance is that we need to insure that all of humankind is afforded basic humanity, dignity and rights. We cannot truely address the needs of robots till all of mankind live in peace and harmony on Mother Earth.
One further comment on the groups yesterday. I understand that the number of Gay Loggers was a small fraction of what the Tea Party Group was, but that generally those marching in the Tea Party were more overweight than the Gay Loggers.

Thanks Art, very wise and diplomatic. Maybe you should consider running for office.

I must say that I was surprised to learn that the Gay Loggers already have a “radical fringe”. (LOL) So rights for robots are on the back burner, so to speak?

The other issue you raise is indeed a “weighty” one. I'd say both sides could trim a little “fat” from their platforms. ;)

What you don't understand, BikeRyder, was that I was hoping I would be wrong! I am happy the CGOGLJ did not shout us down. However, had their numbers been greater than the fifty or so who showed up - I wonder what would have happened then. (P.S. - just to show you I mean what I say, I did not knock your five stars down - if that happens, bear in mind it wasn't because of me).

Do not be deceived...just because you did not hear us...it is not that we were not there. We were not willing to parade our children down the street, making a mockery of ourselves by admitting we buy (hook, line and sinker) the crazy conspiracy theory your group is selling.

There were a few calls from your side, calls that showed ignorance of what the Bozeman Tea Party is about. One I remember is, "Pay Your Taxes!" Now, that just shows that person thinks were against all taxes. That would be completely ignorant. This is about out-of-control spending by an out-of-control government that intrudes more and more each day, taking liberties they should not be taking. This is about a country that is quickly sliding away from democracy into socialism. This is no "theory" - it is being borne out by the facts of what is happening each day. I do believe it to be a conspiracy - which is simply defined by the dictionary as an agreement among those involved to carry out certain acts. Our government is carrying out these acts by trying to rush spending programs and legislation through before our representatives and the public even get a chance to READ it, let alone consider it in a meaningful, probing way! So go ahead and laugh - laugh yourselves silly into the new, and much less free world that is coming!
