| Maybe I should carry a trash can when I march in the parade so I can crunch up anything they give me to burn in my fire pit later. | |

There'll be more.

| The Nazis were, in fact, a left wing organization. But that aside, I am deeply affronted as a Christian and someone of part German heritage. I think it is probably safe to say that most, if not all, of the tea partiers feel like I do. I do not support anything the neo Nazis stand for. | ||

The Nazis were, in fact, a left wing organization. You still believe that huh? (Chuckle) O.K. whatever. But do you think the Neo-Nazi movement that is currently raising its ugly head in America is a leftist organization as well? |

| I think that in the case of organizations such as these, left and right labels do not apply (although there are many who would like them to...regarding the opposition). I think it's possible to go so far left and/or so far right that the extremes might be indistinguishable. The only ideology of hate movements is hate. | ||

| Well said, Ed. Really doesn't matter about the label. Your last line says it all, "The only ideology of hate movements is hate." That sums up the neo Nazis in a "nut"shell. | ||

The ADL has been in bed with the Southern Poverty Law Center for so long their credibility is less than zero, and Mr. Morris Dees of SPLC is nothing but a con artist. I would rather deal with the Neo-Nazis, at least I know where they are coming from. The new hate crime legislation was created, and is being pushed by the ADL, it gives a pass to pedophiles and molesters, with friends like that we don't need enemies. Left, right, black, white, hate is hate, day or night. I agree with Ed on this one. |

Hate, anger, happiness, sadness etc. Feelings, we all have them. We express them in different ways. Sometimes we don't express them at all. We hold them in. Other times they are expressed like, "Hate Bush!" for example. I have seen so called tollerant people viciously attack people verbally for having different opinions or beliefs. That's OK, if that's the way they feel. If they do it while they are having dinner, well that's a different story. Danie calls those who discount global warming as haters. Sounds hateful to me, but if that is the way he feels, that's ok. I don't imagine that he was full of warm fuzzy feelings when he made that statement. I think anybody can feel or think what they want. Even hatred. It is when one acts on that hatred and harms another that they have crossed the line. For currently, in this country we are lawbreakers based upon what we do, not what we think or feel. However, we have taken large steps to move towards punishing people based upon how they think or feel. The next step of course is to punish people based upon who they associate with. Well, we have come close to that. All anti-abortionists are extremists, all Christians are radical, homophobic fundamentalists with violent tendencies rivaling those of the Taliban, all teabaggers are racist, selfish, uncaring and greedy. We cannot punish, thought, feelings or the expression of them and remain free. We will march and we will express our feelings and thoughts and hopefully those to whom we have entrusted our freedom, our future will listen. For the one act that we can do that is perfectly legal is to make sure that those who do not respond to our wishes no longer hold the positions we voted them into. Happy fourth of July! Let people think, feel and speak. Let freedom ring! Peace |

| I'm with you, vanquished1. I'd rather have them (neo Nazis) out in the light of day where we can fully examine them, then have them skulking about in the shadows where we can't. A repressive government only pushes such groups underground where no one knows for sure what they're up to. | ||

Didn't see any recognizable white supremicists or neo-Nazis at the march today.

Barely saw the GCGLFJ because there were not very many of them; my guess is between 40 and 50 at most. Funny, they didn't look like loggers — no plaid shirts, hats with ear flaps, or axes. Mostly just folks holding coffee cups and a few with flags marching down Main Street. Henry Kriegel estimated the Tea Party march crowd was between 1500 and 2000. That seems maybe a little optimistic to me but I couldn't see the whole group. It will be interesting to get the official count. There were a lot of people — way more than on April 15th. Awesome. (PS— I really find the title of this thread distasteful and disrespectful.) |

Of course it was, AlphaBeagle. I was being sarcastic with my subject line but it's hard to convey in writing. (Many commenters on other websites use /sarcasm or /sarc at the end of ironic statements to help make it clear, but I've only seen tiredofbeingjudged do it here and I wasn't sure if others would understand it.) |

| That is just plain ignorant. All the studies show that right wing militant groups have been in the decline since 9/11 and even before that. That would be saying that the Earth Liberation Front or Weather Underground Organization will be recruiting at the democratic national convention....or will they | |
