Just got a call about this, and KBZK.com seems to confirm.

Rumors that Rockin' R is on fire, but not confirmed. We can see smoke from out by the mall.

Let's hope the early hours mean fewer people around. Our thoughts are with you.

Walker Bozeman Ranger submitted this link in another thread:

They're taken a few blocks away from the incident - The radio is reporting that that area of downtown is closed off for a 2-block radius.
My wife was downtown at the time... bydanie006 March 05, 2009 (0 votes) (report abuse)
She was in a meeting one block away when the explosion occurred. They thought an earthquake was rolling in. She's pretty shaken up.

Her car windows are blown out and the passenger side is a little damaged.

Boodles is gone. Rockin'R is just about gone.

I sincerely hope no one is seriously injured or dead.

What a mess.

Great photos so soon after the event, kwebguy. Thanks!

My pleasure - I work at a 'marketing resource'-ish company here in Bozeman as the "web geek" and couldn't be out closer to the scene to be of service, so I've just done the best I can from where I'm at.

I need mention some names who contributed HEAVILY to bringing everyone these updates today...

• Michael Becker at hypercrit.net
• Dave Howlett & Philip Downer at manifestbozeman.com
• Tranq Jones
• Jamee Greer
• "pragmacat" and the rest of the Twitter crew!

TO EVERYONE who stepped up & got involved today, THANK YOU - Bozeman's community has really shown that the best of people comes out in the worst of times.
