I am still waiting for "proof" that being homosexual is biological. Several have made this claim. How about something scientific to back that claim up with. After all, claiming something is based on science/biology, there will be proof it is true.

Let me know if there is going to be such a parade, and I will make certain my children are not exposed to men in mini skirts making out, and women doing whatever they do.

I guarantee you, I will never do business with any business that sponsors such a thing. So much for "hometown values."

(For the record: I have a female cousin who is gay. Yup. We love her, and do not give her a hard time. She is one of the coolest people I know. She also does not advertise to the nieces and nephews thank God! But she also respects that we have our opinions and does not shove this garbage down our throats.) Like most heterosexual people, she doesn't find the need to flaunt whatever it is she does or thinks regarding this.

Berrymountain, thank you again for your wisdom and you relation of a great personal story(similar to one of my own) and your honesty!! God bless berrymountain for your honesty!!!!!!! It's supposed to be one of the simple things that's common to all of us, but it's becoming extraordinarily rare these days for some reason. It's certainly a tochy subject for those of us who don't think it's a good idea, but the whole flaming pride end seems to be frequently rebuffed by many of the "genetic" or "born in the wrong body" homosexual humans. God bless America! And quickly too!!! :)

some people use homosexuality in the animal kingdom as proof of it being a natural thing.
not going to go into wheather im for or against or whatnot..
it just seems like you're kinda egging someone on for scientific backup, so.. yeah. might wanna prepare yourself for that argument.

Along the lines of "normality", I'm sure we all could be judged in that department, homosexual or not.

And if we're going to refer to anal sex between gay men, why don't we check the stats of how many heterosexual couples and prisoners engage in those activities as well? You're keeping many doors shut and simply opening the "stereotypical" homosexual one because of your personal opinions, morals, and values on the subject.. I don't consider that a fair practice of turning the other cheek (no pun intended).

But I wonder if a parade is the best avenue for the goals of gays and lesbians. Public outreach, volunteering/fundraising as a group, seminars, political actions - these are all constructive and serve to create a perception of something other than flamboyant in your face sexy stuff on parade...you don't see AARP having a parade to express their pride...they do so by contributing to society and protecting their members.

I personally have no problem with how folks want to live their lives...everyone deserves their own brand of happiness (as consenting adults) without regard to someone else's value system.

People have looked to the animal kingdom for proof that homosexuality is "normal". But even if you've seen, say, a dog hump another dog, have you actually seen them complete the act of anal sex? The act of "humping" that other dog is not about sex - it's about dominance. Also, just use your imagination (regarding anal sex in particular), and you'll be able to conclude there's nothing normal about it. Common sense tells you the parts don't fit, and if you do it long enough over a period of time - you could end up in diapers! Don't mean to be so graphic here - just trying to get a point across. Do the research on your own for more explicit details and you'll have to conclude there's nothing normal about anal sex.

Wow first of all, I am straight. However, I do have many friends who are gay/lesbian/bi/transgender. I see nothing wrong with there decision to live an alternative lifestyle, we do live in the USA and DO HAVE THE RIGHT OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!!!!!! If you closed minded individuals, dont like this freedsom of expression. Than go live in Iraq, or better yet put a sign in your front yard saying "I'm a closed minded individual, dont trust me." Sometimes we can be so open-minded our brains fall out. Your definition of open-mindedness seems to be not to question anything or disagree with anything. You apparently think people have to accept something no matter how repulsive or evil they find it. At the very least, you'd like them to shut up! Sorry, but no doing. Perhaps we should have just accepted the holocaust. After all, the Nazis had good reason for it, didn't they? That's what they tried to tell everyone. Some people had open minds back then, and decided that the ruling Nazi party must know what's good for them and the rest of the world. So kill a few Jews and other "lesser humans". People like you scare me because you are so open-minded you won't use your brain to question anything. Therefore, when society falls apart people like you go along with whatever those in power want. People die because people like you fail to stand up and say "no more!" and do something about it. In my opinion, you not only don't use your brain, you're also a coward.
